There are many factors that you need to consider when trying to calculate the amount of record time you will get from the Hard Drive that you choose for your installation. Obviously, the larger the hard drive you install the more record time you will get. Other factors that affect the amount of time you will get include how you setup the DVR. Will you be using the motion detection features. What quality are you going to record at? What frame rate are you going to record at? These are all factors that affect the actual amount of time your hard drive will store.
